Monarch butterflies are one of the most well-known butterflies in the world. They came from North America and were introduced into Australia in the 1870s.
The female Monarch lays between 290 to 1180 eggs over her life, and eggs take 3 to 8 days to develop into a caterpillar.
Monarchs flap their wings about 5 to 12 times a second.
The wings are nicely secured by two arm holes and two thumb tabs, easy for little ones to use..
